I believe therapy works best when you feel safe enough to be fully yourself.

I’m Shanae Lee, a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor based in Temecula, California. I know that starting therapy can feel vulnerable—especially when you’re used to being the person who keeps everything together. My goal is to create a space where you don’t have to have the right words, explain yourself perfectly, or pretend things are easier than they are.

My work is grounded in trauma-informed care and shaped by years of supporting adults, adolescents, couples, families, veterans, military-connected clients, and first responders. I work with people navigating trauma and PTSD, anxiety, depression, grief, relationship concerns, major life transitions, and the kind of overwhelm that can make you feel disconnected from yourself.

I don’t believe therapy should feel one-size-fits-all. I take time to understand who you are, what you’ve experienced, and what you need from our work together. Depending on your goals, I may incorporate EMDR, CBT, DBT, motivational interviewing, trauma-focused approaches, and client-centered therapy—but the relationship we build is always at the center of the work.

My style is warm, collaborative, straightforward, and human. I’ll support you, challenge you when it’s helpful, and make room for both the difficult moments and the humor that sometimes gets us through them.

I believe you deserve therapy that feels supportive, personal, and grounded in who you actually are—not just a diagnosis or a list of symptoms.

These are the things I want you to feel in every session—not just words on a page.

These values shape every session and every connection at Fleeting Moments Therapy.

Connection

I believe meaningful change starts with feeling genuinely seen and understood. Therapy should feel like a real relationship—not a clinical transaction.

Safety

You deserve a space where you can be honest without worrying about judgment. You don’t have to have the right words or share anything before you’re ready.

Authenticity

I show up as a real person in the therapy room. I value openness, honesty, appropriate humor, and conversations that feel human rather than scripted.

Growth

Growth rarely happens in a straight line. I’ll help you notice progress, understand setbacks, and keep moving toward changes that actually matter to you.

Collaboration

I’m not here to tell you how to live your life. We work together—combining my clinical experience with your knowledge of yourself, your story, and what you need.

Respect

Your experiences, values, culture, boundaries, and goals matter. Therapy should honor who you are while giving you room to explore who you’re becoming.

You deserve a space where you don’t have to hold everything together.

Life can ask a lot of you. You may be caring for everyone else, managing work and family, navigating relationships, carrying old experiences, or simply trying to get through a season that feels heavier than you expected.

Therapy gives you somewhere to put some of that down.

You don’t have to arrive with everything figured out. You don’t need the perfect words, and you don’t have to prove that what you’re going through is “bad enough” to deserve support.

My goal is to create a space where you can be honest about what’s working, what isn’t, and what you want your life to feel like moving forward.

When you’re ready, we can figure out the next step together.

And I would replace that silhouette image too. It feels much more like stock mental-health imagery than the warm, cozy aesthetic we’ve built throughout your site.
